Let us first explain what Admit card is all about to understand it properly?
Admit card is a document published by ICAI after you submit your exam form. It is assumed to be approval of your exam form.
It is released 15-21 days prior to commencement of exams.
Earlier Admit card was sent by ICAI through the post but since 2017 ICAI has discontinued sending it in physical format. They release the admit card online on their website.
Admit card carries your basic details like

- Your registration number

In the first place why there is mistake in my admit card?
There can be two reasons for this.
Either by student mistake, where the student provides wrong information while filing the application form. If you find that you have submitted wrong details in the Application Form, you should make the correction using correction window which is open for a specific time period to make necessary changes.
Printing mistake is also possible and can be acknowledged at the office.
One more thing that needs to be considered is your photograph and signature
If you don’t have photograph and signature on your admit card that means that you haven’t uploaded them and submitted your registration form without it.
In that case, you can take a printout of your to admit card, attach your photograph and sign to it and post it to ICAI regional office for attestation, which is a time-consuming task.
Instead, the best option is to carry the admit card having no photograph and signature to the examination center with identity proof and 2 passport size photos, and get through the examination hall.

ICAI issue a new admit card with every exam throughout the course. Students get confused and don’t know what to do with Admit card after exams.
You should keep your admit card until your Foundation result is declared, as it contains all your details regarding exams and is very handy while checking your result.
You can discard your foundation Admit card after you register for Intermediate levels.
